Technical Automation Test Lead / Senior Test Analyst

We're excited to be partnering with a prominent government organisation in Brisbane to find a highly skilled Technical (Automation) Test Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic contract opportunity where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of their critical systems, particularly within their extensive SAP environment.

About the Role

As a Technical (Automation) Test Analyst, you'll be a validation and quality assurance expert, responsible for reviewing the functionality of existing and new systems. Your primary focus will be on Test Automation and Performance Testing within the client's ERP (SAP) test team. You'll be instrumental in leading the design, development, and execution of test automation frameworks, continuously improving automation processes, and performing ongoing maintenance and traceability of test cases.

This role isn't just about technical expertise; it's also about collaboration. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, project teams, ERP Platform teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless test execution and integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and execution of test automation frameworks, with a strong emphasis on SAP testing across various modules.
• Deliver automated test scripts and drive continuous improvement in the automation process.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and traceability of test cases, ensuring alignment with requirements.
• Create and manage automated tests for complex, integrated applications, covering various system layers.
• Develop, execute, and analyse performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios, providing actionable insights.
• Utilise performance testing tools such as Tricentis NeoLoad and OpenText LoadRunner for load, stress, and scalability testing.
• Define and communicate key performance metrics, including response time and throughput.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve performance issues and enhance testing processes.
• Coordinate testing tasks, ensuring timely issue resolution and escalation.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and tools in test automation and performance testing, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
• Coordinate test efforts and manage test teams as required.
• Assist in test estimations and contribute to the overall test and assurance process.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation related to testing and automation.
• Assist in managing test environments and providing progress updates to the Test Manager.
