Rio Tinto are expanding operations in the Pilbara to epic proportions while introducing next generation technologies to deliver greater efficiency, lower production costs and improved health, safety, and environmental performance.About the Role : WorkPac is currently in search of a Mine Geologist to join our esteemed client's team, based in the Pilbara.
This position is FIFO from Perth on an 8 / 6 roster.
Duties and Responsibilities : Collect geological data from drilling programsInterpret downhole geophysical dataConduct sampling and QAQC of geological dataEnter data to support geological modellingAssist in designing drill programs for grade controlSupport reporting requirements and tenure maintenanceFollow all standards, procedures, and safety protocolsSkills and Experience : Bachelor of Science in Geology, Earth Science, or equivalent Valid WA "C Class" Drivers License manual preferred Minimum 2 years experience in mine geology Previous experience in Pilbara Iron Ore geology or similar fieldworkProficient in geological data collection, validation, interpretation, and QAQCFamiliar with geological software (e.g.
Vulcan) and strong Excel skillsUnderstanding of health and safety systems (e.g.
