The Solution Architect role operates under broad direction and is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance on highly complex initiatives, delivering high-quality solution architecture and design services across assigned projects or domain teams.A Solution Architect must have an in-depth knowledge of the ICT strategy and architecture function and will be responsible for the development, implementation, compliance and review of policies and procedures.

The Solution Architect will be accountable for delivery of successful outcomes based on an in-depth knowledge of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and policy requirements.This Solution Architect is required to undertake work that is very complex or sensitive and operate under broad direction.

They exercise a considerable degree of independence and perform a leadership role.About the teamThe Architecture Branch ensures that technology solutions align with business goals, advises on technology and systems, and designs the IT system blueprints for both Digital Health Infrastructure and the Agency's corporate technology landscapeKey responsibilitiesleading and producing solution designs, systems views and architectures using logical models of components and interfaces to meet business requirements;translating business requirements from different stakeholders into technical solutions and maintain the integrity of business-critical systems while guiding the agreed deliverables of the end-to-end solution.assessing and measuring projects to understand critical factors for success, the identification of issues and risks and develop supporting risk mitigation strategies; andpreparing, and facilitating workshops with stakeholders from differing backgrounds, to reach a desired goal.demonstrate and apply knowledge of project planning in relation to scope, time, quality, communications and risk management for solution design and project implementationcollaborate with other specialist resources and subject matter experts, including healthcare providers, product owners and policy advisors from across the Agency and the broader Health sector to support the development of project deliverables, program and AgencyTechnical skillsBachelor's Degree in Computing, Information Systems, or another related field (highly desirable)Cloud Certification (desirable)Experience with HL7 standards (desirable)Selection CriteriaCandidate's expertise in Enterprise Architecture best practices and their ability to proactively apply these practices to enable the agency to create value through modern and efficient products and services.Candidate's potential to exert substantial influence on the agency's corporate infrastructure by conceptualising and executing innovative Assess their capability to steer the creation of secure, streamlined, and user-focused systems.Candidate's technical skills and knowledge, particularly in areas such as cloud systems and regulatory requirements.
