About the Role :

Our client a local government based just south of Melbourne’s CBD, is looking for a Corporate Social Media Officer to join the Comms team. This is a full-time role, working Monday – Friday. The company offers hybrid work options, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

In this dynamic, customer-focused role, you’ll take the lead in managing and growing the Council’s social media presence. You'll be responsible for crafting content, overseeing channels, supporting internal teams, and reporting on performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Write, edit, schedule, and publish content across Council's social platforms
  • Manage and monitor social media channels using tools like Hootsuite
  • Plan and deliver both organic and paid social media campaigns
  • Moderate community interactions and respond to messages in line with guidelines
  • Provide regular performance reporting and data insights
  • Support and train internal stakeholders on social media best practices
  • Develop the organic social media content calendar
  • You will have :

  • Experience in managing social media accounts in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of Hootsuite, content planning and scheduling
  • Experience with paid social advertising and reporting
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • A passion for digital engagement and community building
