You'll get to support and train individuals with barriers such as disability, mental health or health condition, and injury to secure and maintain meaningful, sustainable employment.
Every day brings something new! No two participants are the same, and you'll need to employ several different strategies tailored to the individual's employment goals and align with their skills and support needs.
A day in the life of an Employment Consultant
At the heart of an Employment Consultant role is enabling people with barriers to prepare for, find, and keep a job they love. But this role is so much more than that.
The balance of your work might change as you find your stride, but to start off, it will look a little something like this :
35% directly supporting job seekers with barriers to grow, develop, and realise their potential. This may be in person or on the phone.
20% creating and sourcing new opportunities for your job seekers.
10% collaborating, planning, and sharing your ideas, skills, and experience with the team.
35% maintaining and completing records, claims, and other important documentation.
