- Key responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all Technical and Service information between the Customer and Komatsu;
- Ensure that work performed on Komatsu equipment on site is to Komatsu standard;
- Update manuals and written procedures so as to comply with the equipment specifications and modifications;
- Perform on-the-job training for the customer maintenance and operating personnel;
- Assist customers in the identification, sourcing, and ordering of parts when required;
- In conjunction with the customer, assist in the development and refinement of work scopes for scheduled maintenance and repairs;
- Regularly conduct machine inspections on site;
- Operate Komatsu product lines on site for the purposes of testing, relocating and maintaining
- Maintain quality control standards in accordance with the requirements of the Quality Assurance Procedures
- Management of service delivery against targets with a view to being recognized as 'best in class';
- Maintain a close working relationship with the customer to ensure delivery against expectations;
- At all times, comply with customer safety standards and Komatsu safety requirements
- Support Technical Manager for continuous improvement or any other projects
- Provide reports and TSI / Salesforce submission to assist in factory resolution for any technical issues
- The knowledge, skills and abilities we're looking for
- Hold a recognised and current HV Electrical Trade certificate
- Proven experience in a highly technical role
- Current driver's License
- An understanding of maintenance targets including availability, reliability, parts management, and component life cycle management
- Ability to analyse / troubleshoot complicated hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical technical problems and recommend solution
