General Medicine Consultant

The Position

An excellent opportunity has come up for a Staff Specialist / Consultant to join on a Permanent Full Time basis. This is an opportunity to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical services to directly or indirectly benefit the patients / clients of the Hospital, as well as research and teaching more junior staff.

The Facility

Our client is a major regional hospital which has recently undergone a significant redevelopment totaling more than $50 million. The redevelopment delivered new beds, improved services in the rehabilitation unit, as well as a new 24-hour emergency department, maternity unit and special care nursery. There are two main facilities providing both Acute and Sub-acute services.

The Requirements

To apply you must either be :

• Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
• Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Internal / General Medicine
• On RACP training program
• Hold or eligible for the FRACP
• IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
• IMG's with RACP interview date
• IMG's assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable.
