About the role

MTM offers an opportunity to join our dynamic team, partnering with the Finance department to provide financial support, facilitate informed decision-making, and optimize business outcomes. The role involves implementing and refining financial policies, ensuring compliance with the Department of Transport and Planning regulations, and meeting Shareholder reporting requirements. This position provides a valuable chance to gain deep business insights and contribute significantly to our success.

This is a Monday to Friday role based in our Melbourne CBD office, reporting to the Financial Reporting Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Process accruals and journal entries
• Finalize month and year-end accounts
• Conduct ad-hoc spend analysis
• Provide monthly profitability and financial performance reports to stakeholders
• Respond to external and internal audit data requests promptly
• Assist with monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Support colleagues to meet key team deliverables
• Implement and improve MTM's financial policies and procedures
