The Role :

As a Senior Education Officer - Secondary, you will be a key leader in fulfilling the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta. You will provide advanced curriculum expertise, strategic guidance, and operational leadership to drive the effective implementation of CSPD’s learning and teaching priorities. This role is pivotal in translating educational theory into practice, leading targeted programs, and fostering the professional growth of teachers and middle leaders across our schools.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Learning Outcomes Manager, you will be accountable for :

• Providing expert advice to Education Officers and school leaders, translating educational research and CSPD frameworks into scalable strategies, resources, and programs that enhance student learning.
• Mentoring Education Officers in the design, delivery, and evaluation of targeted teaching and learning initiatives, ensuring alignment with diocesan goals and educational best practice.
• Leading the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality teacher professional development and curriculum initiatives, working with internal and external partners to build teacher expertise and middle leadership capability.
• Offering specialised knowledge in key learning areas (such as literacy, numeracy, assessment, pedagogy, or digital learning) to develop resources and programs that address system-wide needs.
• Representing the Learning Outcomes team on committees and working groups, promoting effective collaboration between CSPD teams, schools, and external partners.
• Supporting strategic planning, risk assessment, and decision-making by providing insights on educational trends and implementing policies and procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all learning programs.
