  • The payroll specialist will manage and process payroll function to ensure accurate and timely completion of employee payroll and compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Their role interfaces between finance and human resources departments to provide accurate and valuable information. Develops and produces payroll-related statistical report and ensures accurate and on-time governmental reporting and compliance.

    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Oversee and processes end-to-end monthly payroll across various entities and states in Australia (80) and New Zealand (20).
    • Process new starters, terminations, redundancies, leave and ad-hoc payroll matters arising.
    • Maintain and update employee records accurately in the iChris payroll.
    • Manage PAYG, Superannuation, Payroll Tax & Payroll reporting.
    • Maintain, implement, and comply with up-to-date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation.
    • Year-end responsibilities including Workcover and annual tax lodgments for Australia and NZ.
    • Resolve all payroll queries in a timely manner.
    • Oversee internal payroll and records for auditing.
    • Maintain the month end process, create general ledger reports, and liaise with finance team on accounting enquiries.
    • Qualifications
    • 5+ years end to end payroll experience.
    • Experience with Frontier payroll system software preferred
    • Knowledge of statutory payroll compliance and practices.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Advanced computer skills including intermediate level in excel.
    • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Good time management skills and ability to work independently.
    • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
