Job description

What you will do

  • In the Principal Education Officer role, you will
  • lead teams of casual writers and assessors to support the development of curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment products and services
  • lead teams of casual writers and assessors to quality assure school-devised assessments and school judgements and to develop and mark external assessments
  • work collaboratively with Principal Project Officers and Activity Managers to ensure alignment of products and services with whole of organisation directions, policies, and procedures
  • revise and redevelop curriculum products and resources including senior syllabuses and guidelines
  • provide expert advice to Learning Area Managers and Assistant Directors on issues related to the implementation of senior curriculum and assessment
  • manage and deliver business priorities within designated timelines and using allocated resources
  • liaise with government and non-government educational agencies on assigned projects
  • create and maintain professional relationships between the QCAA and key stakeholders
  • lead forums, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
  • prepare briefings, correspondence and reports
  • undertake other specific tasks as required to assist the QCAA in achieving its business outcomes.
