About The Role

Canterbury Hospital is committed to providing high quality healthcare services to our local community, focused on patient and family-centred care. Since opening in 1929 our hospital continues to grow to meet the changing needs of our community and incorporate new models of care.

The EN works under the guidance of Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council National Competency Standards for the Enrolled Nurse (EN) in collaboration with Registered Nurses (RN), multidisciplinary team and others to provide safe, compassionate, person centred care . The EN is responsible at all times for his / her actions and is accountable for delegated nursing care.

Ideal Candidate

Current enrolment with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an EN with medication endorsement, including oral and intravenous competenciesDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary teamDemonstrated organisational and time management skillsAble to commit to a rotating roster including night shifts.
