Today, Exact Contracting employs over 500 people nationally and is highly regarded for its ability to safely deliver projects on time.

The Role

Due to recent growth, Exact Contracting are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the Maintenance Team, working on a variety of Caterpillar equipment.

Reporting to Senior Management, this site-based role will be responsible for taking lead of and driving safe and cost-effective management of maintenance activities and operations on-site.

Responsibilities will include

Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety;

Effective planning and managing of resources to ensure the completion of maintenance schedules are on time and within budget;

Driving operational efficiencies for all maintenance related activities;

Overseeing the mobilisation and demobilisation of plant and equipment for the project; and

Providing effective leadership and supervision through 'on the ground' presence, direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals.

The successful applicant will have

Current drivers' licence;

Heavy Diesel Fitter Trade qualification_;_

Completion of S1, S2 and S3 qualifications (essential);

5+ years of experience in supervisory / management role;

Demonstrated experience maintaining Caterpillar, Hitachi mobile equipment; Kenworth and Mack Trucks and a wide range of ancillary gear;

Previous civil / mining industry experience.

Experience with and confident using Microsoft Office and maintenance related systems (MEX) etc.;

Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation;

Confident communication with the ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors;

Self-motivation with a positive attitude;

Desire to work in remote locations; and

A hands-on approach.
