The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) team supports the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24 / 7. We are committed to maintaining the physical infrastructure of AWS, upholding standards for safety, security, availability, productivity, capacity, efficiency, and cost.
The Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee will handle Data Center Engineering Operations, including risk management, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
We seek individuals with little to no experience, driven and technically inclined (electrical / mechanical), with a passion to learn data center engineering operations. Reporting to the DCEO Manager, responsibilities include sustaining availability, managing costs, assessing and mitigating risks, reviewing maintenance activities, and reporting metrics.
You will collaborate with software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and others. Your role will contribute to delivering high safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at minimal cost, within an inclusive culture that fosters innovative ideas.
This is a 6-month fixed-term position with potential for full-time conversion.
