GTE Group is seeking a Control Systems Manager to lead the growth and delivery of the GTE Control Systems team. This senior leadership role is responsible for setting strategic direction, mentoring and growing a high-performing team, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, safe and effective control systems solutions across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities :

Set and drive the strategic direction of the team

Collaborate with cross-functional teams through proposal work and across the delivery of projects towards supporting increased multi-disciplinary delivery.

Lead day-to-day management, and mentoring of a skilled engineering team

Collaborate with business development teams to identify and strategically pursue opportunities across targeted sectors

Build, nurture and maintain strong client relationships

Ensure all projects are delivered to a high standard, with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance

Oversee resource planning and optimise team capability and capacity to align with current and future workloads

Create a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation and customer focus

Participate in and lead continuous improvement programs within the department.

Oversee design, specification, development, testing, and commissioning activities with familiarity and experience across most of the major PLC, HMI, Electrical / drives, and safety products / brands

About You :

Bachelor of Engineering

15+ years of experience in control systems engineering, with strong mining industry experience

Deep understanding of the full project lifecycle and associated deliverables

Strong project management experience with a practical, hands-on approach

Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing engineering teams

Client-focused with strong verbal and written communication skills

Skilled in identifying and analysing project risks and challenges, and driving solutions

Strong interpersonal, discernment, and negotiation skills
