Alzheimer's Queensland is seeking passionate Community Support Assistant team members eager to make a difference in the lives of local older people.

As a Community Support Assistant, you will adopt a restorative and wellness approach to help older people remain at home and engaged with their community. Your duties will include social support, personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and light domestic tasks within clients' homes.

To succeed in this role, you should possess : A genuine passion for supporting elderly people, with previous experience and a desire to fulfill their and their families' needs and goals.Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.Availability for early starts or late afternoons, with a preference for morning or afternoon shifts.A minimum Cert III qualification in Aged Care, Community Care, or Individual Support (or equivalent), and a current First Aid & CPR Certificate.A current Queensland Open Drivers License, a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance, and a mobile phone.A current Police Certificate or willingness to obtain one.In return, you will : Receive a competitive hourly rate, with options for salary sacrifice and km allowances.Access comprehensive induction, ongoing training, and educational opportunities.Have opportunities for career advancement.About AQ Founded in 1983, AQ is a leading provider of community services in Southeast Queensland, specializing in caring for older Australians.
