Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand engineering plans and technical specifications.Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan body building or modification work.Build vehicle bodies and frames using materials such as steel, aluminium, fiberglass, and plastic.Cut, shape, and join metal parts using welding, bolting, and riveting techniques.May install panels, flooring, shelving, doors, hydraulic lifts, and other vehicle components.Modify standard vehicles to meet specific design or functional requirements as to the customer specifications.Fit accessories and custom-built parts.Diagnose structural damage and carry out repairs to damaged vehicle bodies and frames.Ensure repairs meet safety and regulatory standards.Check work for accuracy and adherence to specifications.Ensure all modifications and builds comply with Australian Design Rules (ADRs) and safety regulations.Follow workplace health and safety practices.Use hand tools and power tools, welding equipment, metal cutting and bending machines.Communicate issues and record changes in the building / modification process.Pay : $73,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
