- About the role
- As a Support Worker at Activ, you will care for customers who have varying needs. For this role, we are seeking an individual experienced with complex high-care needs including behaviours due to a variety of medical conditions. Customers have a wide range of professional supports and full training in their care plans is provided. Please review the rosters before applying;

- A typical day in the role may look like
- Key duties include
- Delivering a wide range of domestic supports within a customer's residence;
- Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customer's life goals;
- Support customers to engage in a wide range of community-based activities
- Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
- Administration duties and mandatory daily reports.
- What you'll need?
- Previous experience in supporting customers with Dysphasia and Epilepsy is essential;
- Previous experience with manual handling and medication administration is essential;
- Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher is desirable;
- A drive and passion working with challenging behaviours;
- Experience in supporting customers with behavioural support plans;
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
- Willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties;
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills;
- A Valid WA driver's licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with Activ's motor vehicle allowance rebate).
- Police clearance and / or NDIS worker screening check.

- Activ staff working in roles that require regular attendance to our residential disability accommodation homes must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and receive a booster dose within one month of becoming eligible.
