  • Your responsibilities may include
  • Implement and develop occupational health and safety strategies for the team and organisation.
  • Coordination of the WHS systems in line with short
  • and long-term goals.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring all required documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Regular prevention inspections on site to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Disciplining subcontractors and other team members who fail to comply with established safety standards and procedures.
  • Managing a small team of more junior OHS professionals.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of work health and safety culture within the organisation.
  • Prepare and maintain HSE management plans and company policies to ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards.
  • Perform incident investigations (ICAM) as required.
  • Ensure all works are completed in compliance with WHS regulations, industry standards and any relevant legislation.
  • Provide practical advice and direction regarding relevant OHS legislation, standards and codes of practice.
  • Essential criteria
  • 3+ years' experience in a OHS / HSE Managerial position working for a mid-tier contractor.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Work, Health & Safety.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO Accreditations and standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of the WA construction industry.
  • Experience successfully managing safety requirements across a range of projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to foster an inclusive safety culture.
  • Exposure to incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Sound understanding of OHS management systems.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications.
