Currently seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our dental team at Oakey Health Centre. In this role, you will work 100% chairside, 2 days per week, assisting our Dentists in providing dental services to the Australian Defence Personnel.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll make a positive impact by :

• Providing assistance to Dentists
• Implementing infection control procedures within the dental surgery in accordance with National Standards and Defence Policies and Procedures
• Managing patients according to approved protocols
• Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness of the dental surgery, managing patient records, filing reports, and scheduling appointments
• Participating in governance and quality improvement activities including clinical reviews, health surveillance, and auditing

About Oakey Health Centre

Located at the Army Aviation Centre (AAC), 3 km outside Oakey, the health centre serves approximately 500 members, providing primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmaceutical, and mental health services. The centre operates generally from 0700-1630, Monday to Friday, with shift flexibility depending on role requirements. Staff may work across Cabarlah & Oakey.
