The Role

The Specialist Workplace Relations Advisor provides guidance and support for complex matters to leaders who manage people-related issues across diverse retail environments. This role is responsible for advising on matters related to performance, conduct, pay and conditions, team member changes, and non-work related fitness for work cases, with a focus on ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements.

Role Responsibilities and Contributions

You will :

  • Provide advice to line managers on workplace matters and draft documentation.
  • Participate or run autonomously disputes, court, and tribunal matters.
  • Provide advice on the interpretation of relevant employment law, awards, and enterprise agreements regarding wage compliance, rostering, and leave entitlements.
  • Participate in strategic ER projects with key business stakeholders to achieve the operational goals of the business.
  • Provide case management support to line managers to resolve workplace disputes, conflicts, or issues arising from various operational matters such as interpersonal conflicts, task allocation fairness, disputes about rostering, safety breaches, etc., including drafting relevant documentation (e.g., discussion records).
  • Must have 3- 5 years of experience in Human Resource Management role or equivalent.
