In alignment with the , this position will initially sit within DEMIRS but will join the newly formed Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety from 1 July 2025.
The role
As the General Manager, People Services and Capability, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and development of the Department by delivering high-quality, professional, and customer-focused human resource services to the Executive Leadership Group (ELG), Directors, and line managers.
Your proven leadership and management capabilities will be essential in overseeing the effective delivery of a comprehensive range of human resource functions. This includes leading and managing a team of HR professionals to support the complex and evolving needs of a large agency.
Success in this role will require demonstrated experience in the design, development, and implementation of innovative workforce and management strategies aligned with organisational objectives. The ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through periods of transformation and change will also be critical.
