About the role
Our Workplace Relations team offers our members expert advice, training and assistance on a range of employment matters, working across various industries and sectors. Our Advice Line Advisors are responsible for providing relevant and accurate telephone advice to members on enquiries relating to industrial relations legislation, awards, general human resources issues and general workplace occupational health safety issues. In addition, this role will provide information to members on the full range of consulting services and products that are available to meet their needs.

We are looking for someone with a passion for Industrial Relations and Human Resources to join our team of Advisors to identify and assess member issues, provide relevant and accurate advice, and advise members on the full range of consulting services and products that are available to meet their needs. This is an entry level role so a degree in IR or HR, and / or equivalent industry experience will be required to be successful in this role. Your strong customer service skills including a high level of verbal and written communication skills, as well as your capacity to comprehend a wide range of IR / HR issues and communicate them in a user-friendly manner to our members will see you excel in this role. You will also have strong administrative and time management skills as our Advisors also provide administration support to the broader team for both individual case work and development of member products.
You will receive full ongoing training and development within a well-respected workplace relations team. An understanding of employment legislation and the Australian Industrial Relations system will be highly regarded.
