Kloudynet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Security and Compliance Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Purview. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust data security and compliance solutions for our large and medium enterprise customers. This role requires demonstrable experience with Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, a strong understanding of data security use cases across various industries, and awareness of the data leakage risks posed by Generative AI. You will play a critical role in helping clients protect their sensitive data across M365 workloads and beyond.

Key Responsibilities : Microsoft Purview Implementation : Lead the design, deployment, and configuration of Microsoft Purview solutions (including Data Governance, Data Catalog, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, and Compliance Manager) for enterprise clients.Conduct deep-dive assessments of client environments to identify data security and compliance gaps.Develop and implement strategies for data classification, labeling, and protection using Purview Information Protection.Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) & DLP : Design and implement comprehensive MIP solutions, including sensitivity labels, encryption, and rights management.Develop, test, and deploy Microsoft DLP policies across M365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams) and endpoints.Troubleshoot and optimize existing MIP and DLP deployments.Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft data security and compliance technologies.Advise clients on industry-specific data security use cases and best practices.Educate clients on the impact of Generative AI on data leakage and recommend appropriate safeguards.Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer to client teams.Ensure robust security configurations for M365 workloads including Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams, leveraging Purview capabilities.Integrate Purview solutions seamlessly with existing M365 environments.Documentation & Reporting : Create detailed design documents, implementation plans, and operational guides.Develop reports on compliance status, policy effectiveness, and incident response.Stay Current : Continuously update knowledge on the latest Microsoft security and compliance features, industry trends, and emerging threats.Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves) : Proven, deep-dive expertise in implementing Microsoft Purview solutions at large and medium enterprise customers.Demonstrable hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.Strong understanding of data security principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA – depending on client base).Good understanding of data security use cases across various industries (e.g., Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing).Solid understanding of Generative AI technologies and their potential impact on data security and leakage.Proficient in M365 workloads : Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, and their security features.Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a remote / hybrid setting.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Minimum 5+ years of experience in a data security or cybersecurity consulting role, with at least 3+years focused on Microsoft security solutions.Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR suite (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps) and / or Microsoft Sentinel.Other industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP).Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and reporting.Understanding of broader data governance principles.What We Offer : Competitive salary and benefits package.Flexible hybrid / remote work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning.A collaborative and supportive team culture.The chance to work on challenging and impactful projects with leading enterprise clients.Seniority levelSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeEmployment typePart-timeJob functionJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT ConsultingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Kloudynet Technologies by 2x
