We have exclusively partnered with a leading hospital based in Melbourne known for participating in leading health research, providing innovative healthcare, and for being the voice in the community championing health equality. As part of their strategic growth plans, a rare opportunity has emerged to join their nimble yet high performing Philanthropy and Investment team as a Database Development Coordinator.

The main purpose of this position is to continuously improve the overall donor experience by optimising, developing, and managing processes and procedures to ensure best practices are carried out that protect and donor information and donor funds. This role is instrumental in managing the hospital's donor database to create the necessary efficiencies that increase usability and contribute to the donor growth strategy over the next 5 years and beyond.

This opportunity is a perfect fit if you want to gain experience developing and managing database infrastructure and ideally wish to become a database manager or similar in a few years' time. This role will also provide you with experience working within a fundraising team, working in an environment that values compassion, empowering human life, and respect.

  • The Role
  • This role requires you to :

  • Develop, maintain and update the business rules in the database and upskill your team members on new processes that you create
  • Reform and oversee donor gift processing systems and provide training to team members
  • Work closely with the finance team to create reports that ensure donations are correctly channelled and distributed
  • Continuously improve and organise data to maintain overall efficiency
  • Prepare segmented data files and manage data collection systems for all fundraising activities
  • Coordinate database systems for fundraising programs including grateful patient, regular giving, individual giving and celebrations
  • To be successful in this role you must have :

  • A minimum of 1 year working knowledge of the
  • Raiser's Edge
  • database system (essential)
  • Previous experience optimising processes and procedures on company CRMs and / or databases
  • Strong passion and interest for improving and optimising data and information
  • Clear communication skills and are able to train team members on new systems, processes and procedures that you create
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in data administration, data analytics, information management, IT or similar
  • Passion for healthcare and health equality
  • An understanding of how philanthropic funds are managed in a database (highly desirable)
  • Experience working in a Fundraising team (highly desirable)
  • In addition, you will be required to show evidence that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or provide evidence from a medial practitioner certifying that an exemption applies to you.

  • The Offer
  • This is a full-time, permanent position based in Melbourne and comes with flexible work from home options, ideally working onsite 2-3 days per week. This role is paying up to $85K + Super (commensurate with experience), plus NFP salary packaging, 5 weeks annual leave, as well as monthly ADOs (Allocated Day Off).
