Teoh Capital is a private investment firm based in Sydney, Australia, managing the assets of

David Teoh and his family. Our focus is on deploying significant capital into small to mid-cap

software, technology, consumer brands, and optical businesses in Australia, New Zealand,

Southeast Asia and selectively in North America and Europe.

This is an excellent opportunity to be a key member of a leading Australian family office. You

will work closely with the founding family, including David Teoh, who has a market-leading

track record as an entrepreneur and investor in software, tech, consumer brands, and optical

businesses.

The role

Working within the investment team, you will have a dynamic and active role in sourcing and

identifying opportunities, managing the investment process, and building and scaling portfolio

businesses both domestically and internationally.

The role will encompass the following responsibilities :

Outbound Deal Origination and Research : Actively drive the identification and sourcing of new investment opportunities.
Inbound Investment Assessment : Evaluate the numerous inbound investment opportunities received by the team.
Investment Analysis : Perform in-depth financial modeling, industry research, and analysis to support investment decisions.
Investment Papers : Develop concise and insightful investment papers for internal discussions.
Due Diligence and Deal Execution : Conduct thorough due diligence and assist in the execution of deals.
Portfolio Management : Support operational matters within portfolio companies, collaborating across key functional areas.
Bolt-on Opportunities : Identify and source additional opportunities for existing portfolio companies.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience : 1-2 years of relevant work experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Consulting, or Corporate Development.

Skills : Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and the ability to

conduct detailed industry research.

Attributes : Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working in a fast-paced and

Investment Mandate :

Teoh Capital typically takes a majority position in portfolio companies and actively support and

collaborate with portfolio companies to drive growth and operational excellence.

Software and Technology : Companies with recurring revenues of typically $3-50 million

Consumer Brands and Optical : Retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, and niche / specialised products with EBITDA $10-100+ million.
