Job description

The Digital Communications Advisor liaises with senior stakeholders across the organisation to manage the end-to-end publication process for hundreds of documents each year, such as media releases, speeches, information papers and public consultations, on our website. You will be responsible for maintaining the publishing calendar, discussing teams' communication needs, ensuring all publications are approved through the correct sign-off process, and publishing them to the APRA website. The role also supports the ongoing maintenance of the website, in collaboration with the Digital Communications Manager, and contributes to APRA's LinkedIn channel and other digital projects as needed.

The team The Corporate Affairs team sits within the Chief of Staff and Enterprise Services Division (ChES) and is comprised communications professionals, covering external communications, internal communications, digital media and design. The digital communications function is responsible for managing our digital channels, including the APRA website, social media channels and our intranet.

ChES plays a vital role in the effective functioning of the organisation and comprises a range of critical functions, including strategy and governance, corporate affairs, regulatory affairs, finance, project delivery, facilities, and people and culture. These functions are essential to the smooth operation of the organisation and enable APRA to focus on achieving its strategic objectives and fulfill its purpose.

Key responsibilities Responsible for APRA's publishing schedule, proactively working with teams to publish news and web updates on time, accurately, to a high standard, and meeting accessibility standards;Use our EDM platform (MailChimp) to share publications with our subscribers;Coordinate the input of work from a wide variety of sources to ensure that deadlines are met;Manage time and prioritise issues, given that a diverse range of problems can be encountered simultaneously;Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders and building influence and trust to ensure a well-organised publishing process;Manage the team's ServiceNow / Microsoft Forms-based ticketing system, ensuring that tasks are assigned to the most appropriate people in a timely manner;Support social media management, particularly LinkedIn; andSupport the broader requirements of the Corporate Affairs team as required, such as assisting with media coverage tracking on occasion.About you Experience of using content management systems (prior experience of Drupal will be highly regarded);Proficient in using EDM platforms (familiarity with MailChimp will be highly regarded);Comfortable working in a Microsoft environment, with strong capabilities in using Word, PowerPoint & Excel;Able to navigate dynamic environments to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes;Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills to influence outcomes;Proactive attitude and the ability to think creatively;Knowledge of digital accessibility standards and best practices;High integrity to manage confidential and sensitive information;Analyse and interpret information contained in management reports to derive key insights and recommend appropriate actions or next steps;Sound judgment and proactive approach to problem solving and escalating in need; andAn understanding and interest in evolving digital technologies.To work with us, you must be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance through the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency.
