As a Senior Medical Officer working in one of our rural hospitals (Boonah, Esk Gatton and Laidley) a successful applicant will be required to practice as a skilled and competent senior rural generalist. This requires an applicant who can practice a high level of in-patient and emergency medicine, independently, with a broad scope of practice despite limited onsite investigations available. These positions will be based at one of the rural hospitals and the successful applicant will also be required to provide backfill at the other three rural hospitals when necessary.
About The Role

About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following :
Passion for providing excellent clinical care to their community as a Rural Medical Officer Experience in delivering quality care to inpatients, outpatients, Emergency Department clients across a variety of acuity and care needs. Knowledge and practical application of the National Quality & Safety Standards through the delivery of Safe and Quality focussed Patient centred care. Excellent communication and team work skills across a variety of settings including in an emergency
Mandatory Requirements
Possession of Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) + / - FARGP or Fellowship with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) will be highly regarded. Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01 / 16
