    This position reports to the Director of Enrolments and Community Relations. This is a permanent, part-time position of 0.6FTE at 22.5 hours per week. This position will be carried out over 3 days per week. Daily hours will generally be 8am to 4pm (including 30 mins unpaid lunch break).

    • Overview of the role
    • This position has primary responsibility for building and maintaining a strong working relationship between members of the Wenona community and the School. This role helps to bring together activities which impact on the School's relationships with its external community and includes alumnae engagement, student / parent liaison and community engagement. An integrated approach to these activities is required to ensure that the wider community understands and supports the School's mission.

      You will achieve this by providing exceptional customer service to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including alumnae, the Wenona Parents' Association (WPA), the School's Senior Leadership Team, and other community groups. You will be responsible for the School's reputation in the community, with effective and clear communication, strong event management and administration skills, and an ability to work under pressure.

      This position contributes to the strategic planning and delivery of outcomes for the Enrolments and Community Relations Office as part of the overall growth of opportunities for young women today. The position also contributes to the maintenance of a positive internal culture where service, integrity, kindness, and humour are valued.

    • Key Responsibilities
    • Indications that this job is being done successfully would include :

    • Manage community relations in line with the Wenona Strategic Plan and ensure Wenona parents, alumnae and WPA are well connected to the School.
    • Ensure communication between the School and community groups is positive, proactive and achieves the desired outcomes for all parties.
    • Coordinate alumnae and parent initiatives on behalf of the respective associations.
    • Oversee specific Community Relations / Engagement events, guaranteeing a high standard for attendees, while meeting the specific requirements of the School and demonstrating a sound understanding of the operational objectives.
    • Maintain the School's valued reputation in the community and ensure this reflects the culture and aims expressed by the Principal and the Board.
    • Foster strong relationships with all key stakeholders including alumnae, parents, staff members and vendors.
    • Negotiate contracts for services, approve invoices and maintain associated financial records.
    • Provide post event feedback and identify ways of improving future service, efficiency, and effectiveness.
    • Manage the alumnae data holdings with a focus on accurately recording information.
    • Progress the existing community engagement programs to ensure ongoing community development.
    • Prioritise workloads with good judgement, setting timeframes and adhering to tight deadlines.
    • Operate in a friendly, effective, and helpful manner.
    • Education and Experience
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications and / or experience in a similar role.
    • Strong ability to use Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with a data management system (Synergetic or similar), customer relationship system and portal / web maintenance.
    • NSW Working with Children Check.
