Your new roleAs the Clinical Educator you will be responsible for :
Monitoring and responding to the evolving staff learning needs through regular review of care and clinical practices of staff in Community and Residential Services.Designate weekly time for effective on-the-job mentorship and support to ensure staff are competent and confident in their roles.Promote a positive learning environment.Deliver formal education sessions as required.Maintain the training and attendance database in order to be able to provide accurate data regularly and when required.Participate in the design of clinical training packages that align with organisational learning needs'Ensure currency of practice by proactively seeking ongoing professional development.Attend corporate meetings as required.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role you will have :
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRACertificate lV in Training and AssessmentDemonstrated high level competence in clinical skillsKnowledge of ageing process and caring for older peopleKnowledge of gerontic nursing practice issuesKnowledge of contemporary adult learning principlesAbility to provide corrective feedback to practiceEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to identify skill gaps and drive improved performance through teaching and coachingDemonstrated initiative towards education prioritiesDemonstrated ability in developing and designing training packagesAbility to communicate and work cooperatively with othersCommitment to ongoing professional developmentWhat you'll get in returnYou will be joining a collaborative team that has a passion for delivering high quality care.
