Manager Infrastructure Services

The Manager, Infrastructure Services is responsible for directing, leading and managing the efficient and effective delivery of ICT Infrastructure Services comprising Network, Server, Storage, and End User Computer related Services for the Attorney General's Department.

The position is responsible for overall management of the Infrastructure Services to ensure operational delivery of technology to client needs, explore technology improvements and opportunities, and support associated systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and remain operational.

This includes providing high level and strategic leadership for the planning and delivery of Infrastructure services, in charge of :

• Direction, strategy, policy and management of priorities.
• Management of complex incident, problem and change management requirements.
• Operational, contractual, financial and reporting requirements. Critical workforce planning and implementation functions.

The position is a member of the AGD Technology Services Management team, providing expert advice to the Director, Technology Services and Executive Director, Projects & Technology as required. The position is a member of the Technology Advisory Forum (Level 2 Technology Governance), Architecture Design Authority and the AGD Architectural Review Group and promotes the correct use of these processes throughout Technology Services as appropriate.

• About the Business

The Technology Services Business Unit is responsible for helping to meet a wide range of IT needs throughout the department by providing expertise and services in ICT Service Desk and Desktop Support, Infrastructure Management and Technical Support, ICT Contract Management and Procurement, ICT Security and Policy, IT Asset Management, software licensing and compliance, ICT Change Management that assist in meeting the overall AGD objectives.

• Special Conditions for Employment

Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested. Forms are not to be lodged directly with SA Police (SAPOL) under any circumstances and any fees incurred by applicants in doing so will not be recoverable from the AGD.
