The opportunity
We have an opportunity to join our Broker Distribution Team as Broker Manager in Brisbane. Reporting to the Broker Relationship Lead, you will drive growth with a focus on delivering excellent customer outcomes and high service standards. You will partner with our key strategic partners in the region to profitably grow the business and deliver agreed business plans. You will work closely with the National Relationship Leads, Commercial Underwriting and Claims teams, as well as a number of other key stakeholders.
Your new role
As a Broker Manager you will work with the Broker Relationship Lead to develop account plans for our strategic partners in QLD, proactively develop key relationships and analyse current trends and growth opportunities within the portfolio. You will also;- Implement a broker visitation schedule with a focus on value for both external partners and internal stakeholders.- Gain a strong understanding of internal business priorities by building a close rapport with key stakeholders inclusive of the Claims and Underwriting teams.- Use Data and Analytics tools to help with performance management and decisions for strategic growth and retention- Identify new business growth opportunities and multi-line cross-sells to maximise penetration of client base and improve product density within negotiated product lines- Represent QBE's interests with internal and external stakeholders through support and participation in industry and corporate events
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have Account Management and Sales Pipelining experience. You will also have;- Previous experience as a BDM / Account Manager within Insurance or Financial Services- Outstanding Customer Service and Relationship Building skills- Ability to lead by influence with Brokers and Underwriters- Strong communication and negotiation skills- Ability to work in a team environment by supporting and developing team members- Product knowledge and understanding to engage intermediaries and fulfil growth opportunities
