• The Role

Are you an experienced freight forwarding sales developer looking to transition into a more balanced, back-office support role? Or maybe you're a motivated forwarding operations professional looking to advance your career in sales and business development?

This 6-month contract offers the perfect opportunity to either step back for a better work / life balance or to take the next step towards a career in sales and business development. With the potential to progress to full-time employment, this role will play a key role in driving our business forward while shaping your career path for the future.

• Key Responsibilities
• Preparation of weekly, fortnightly and quarterly updated SELL rate cards (guidance provided)
• Preparation of adhoc quotations for requested services work, from either overseas agencies and / or local adhoc clientele
• Maintain BUY rate sheets for Ocean FCL, Ocean LCL, Cartage (FCL & LCL)
• Time permitting - Maintain SELL rate summary sheets for Internal resources and usage
• Time permitting - Assist in negotiations and information gathering from core outsourced partners (Shipping lines and Cartage providers)
• Skills and Experience
• Strong understanding of financial terminology such as "margin" and "profit & loss"
• Strong understanding of INCOTERMS
• Freight forwarding knowledge, particularly of import FCL and LCL workflows, an advantage
• Cargowise 1 knowledge an advantage
• Solid negotiation skills an advantage
• Inside Sales support functional experience an advantage
