About StudentSupport Services StudentSupport Services works in partnership with schools and preschoolsto support children and young people with additional needs.Psychologists within SSS play a vital role in deliveringevidence-based psychological services to assist students withdevelopmental, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, andphysical difficulties.

Our teamsinclude psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers, specialeducators, and other professionals, working collaboratively todeliver integrated and targeted support. Psychologists areinstrumental in addressing the growing complexity of learner needs,including co-existing conditions such as autism, ADHD,trauma-related challenges, and mental health issues.

We arecommitted to culturally responsive practice, inclusive education,and supporting children and families across diversecommunities—particularly in regional, remote, and Aboriginalcontexts.

About theroles : AHP1 –Provisional Psychologist As aprovisional psychologist, you will work under the supervision of aSenior Psychologist and / or an approved supervisor in accordancewith Psychology Board of Australia guidelines. You will contributeto the delivery of high-quality psychological services to childrenand young people with diverse needs.

Participate ininterdisciplinary teams supporting schools andpreschools.Assist withdeveloping and implementing evidence-based psychologicalinterventions.Workunder close supervision while building foundational skills andexperience.AHP2 –Psychologist Psychologists at thislevel deliver targeted assessments and interventions to childrenand students with increasingly complex needs.

Address a wide rangeof issues including learning difficulties, neurodevelopmentalconditions, trauma, and behavioural challenges.Collaborate withfamilies, school staff, and other professionals to implementproactive, targeted, and intensive interventions.Operate withprofessional direction and support from a SeniorPsychologist.AHP2 –Psychologist (Flexible Services) This roleoffers an exciting opportunity to deliver services in innovativeways, including Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO), telepractice, andcross-office collaboration.

Provide assessmentand intervention through flexible delivery modes to improveaccess in underserved regions.Workas part of a multi-disciplinary team to support students andchildren remotely.Bepart of a dynamic and adaptable team meeting the evolving needsof students.AHP3 –Psychologist (Self-Regulation Service) Thisspecialised role focuses on supporting children and young peoplewith self-regulation difficulties, often associated with trauma orother complex needs.

Contribute tosystem-wide strategies to enhance self-regulation in preschoolsand schools.Workalongside occupational therapists and educators to model anddeliver interventions.Helpdevelop professional learning resources and support data-drivenservice improvements.AHP3 –Psychologist At thissenior level, you will provide expert psychological services andmentorship to other professionals.

Workwith students with complex and co-morbid conditions, includingrare neurodevelopmental and behavioural challenges.Leadin the development and delivery of advancedinterventions.Provide supervisionand professional support to AHP1 and AHP2psychologists.Contribute toservice development, innovation, and qualityimprovement.Why JoinUs? Qualifications : Essential : An appropriate degree or equivalent which entitles registration(provisional) with the Psychology Board of Australia(AHP1)

Currentand full registration (general) with the Psychology Board ofAustralia (AHP2 / 3).

Psychology Board ofAustralia approved supervisor (AHP3).

Desirable : Area of practice endorsement - educational and developmentalpsychology and / or clinical psychology and / or counselling psychology(AHP3).

Special conditions : Thesuccessful applicant is required to gain a Department for HumanServices (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to beingemployed which is required to be renewed every five years beforeexpiry.

Theincumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Respondingto Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) FacilitatorLead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals)course which will be required to be updated every threeyears.

Remuneration : AHP1$68,478 - $83,594 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation(11.5%)

AHP2$88,255 - $102,240 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation(11.5%)

AHP3$104,180 - $111,746 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation(11.5%)
