Covering an area of over 1700 km2 from Sunbury to beyond the borders of Macedon Ranges Shire our 220 staff and 70 volunteers are based across four sites at Kyneton, Romsey and Sunbury. The organisation has a proud history of delivering community health services to the region for over 40 years. Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health builds the social fabric of our communities through diverse services and programs that help people support themselves and each other. About the Role This position presents an opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary to provide high quality care to public dental patients. As a Dental Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the Oral Health unit in the provision of efficient and effective dental health services to clients in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and policies to ensure an integrated approach to client care. Key Duties and Responsibilities Prepare, maintain, and manage the dental clinic to a high infection control standard Provide clinical chairside assistance to Dentists, Dental Therapists and Oral Health Therapists within the Sunbury clinic and offsite during outreach services and Smile Squad Assist in re-processing of instruments, which may include podiatry as well as dental instruments Administrative support to the dental team as required About You Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent Minimum 12-months recent experience working as a dental assistant within Australia / New Zealand Benefits and Perks Our benefits enhance everyday wellbeing and encourage you to take time to make a difference in the community : Supervision embedded and valued within the team and support with your professional development The option to access purchased leave Free professional counselling from our world class employee assistance program In addition to your salary and superannuation, you'll also have access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits plus up to $2,650 meals and entertainment packaging benefits Access to the Fitness Passport program (subsidised access to selected gyms across Victoria) and organisational-led employee wellbeing initiatives such as virtual challenges and all-staff development day Free parking and fresh fruit on-site for all employees The successful candidate will be required to undertake and maintain a National Criminal History Check, NDIS Safety Screening check, Working with Children Check and hold valid Australian working rights.
