Responsibilities of a Year 2 Teacher :

• Responsible for the pastoral care of children, supporting their first steps in Early Years Foundation Stage, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.
• Teaching the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to groups of children, focusing on individual learning targets, encouraging strengths, and improving weaknesses.
• Further developing maths abilities and introducing concepts such as fractions, statistics, and geometry.
• Helping children develop their writing skills by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
• Tracking children's progress and reporting back to parents as needed.
