Mechanical Fitter

The SOW for

• the 2 mechanical fitters
• 1 with basic machining capability and 1 with basic welding for the depot area are as follows.
• 12 month initial term with 2 x 12 month extension options

The panel member shall :

a. Provide support to the depot maintenance section through the means of but not limited to :

1. Conduct general mechanical fitting of weapon support equipment, and once authorised with limited maintenance authority conduct work on EO components under EO technical regulations.

2. Under direction perform weight testing of weapon support equipment including dollies, trollies and slings.

3. Conduct general non weapon specific tasking's in and around the workshop areas.

4. Assist with basic machining and welding when required

5. Assist with general cleaning activities when required, including the movement of items internally to reduce clutter in workshop areas.

6. Assist with the mustering of DG / Flammable lockers initially, until taking on the role permanently when deemed competent.

7. General support to the weapon maintainers as directed by the Depot Maintenance Managers.

Requirements.

1. MR / HR truck licence, DG licence highly desirable

2. Nationally recognised fork lift licence

3. A security clearance of Secret will be required with additional ITAR clearances.

4. Riggers and dogging certificate is highly desirable
