FRAGRANCE COMPOUNDERJOB DESCRIPTONReporting to the Director and working under the guidance of Operations Manager this position is responsible for :
- Performing functions relating to the compounding and mixing of batches through decanting, weighing and mixing aromatic chemicals.
- Ensuring product compliance and quality by manufacturing to existing Standard Operating
Procedures (SOP's).
- Cleaning and sanitation of processing equipment, utensils and production areas in accordance with SOP's.
- Completing a variety of tasks related to manufacturing and warehousing, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing.
- Duties & Responsibilities
- Transfer raw materials from storage vessels into batch vessels.
- Weighing out specified types and quantities of liquid or solid ingredients via manual scales, according to formula.
- Dispensing, handling and sampling of hazardous raw materials.
- Perform compounding and mixing of bulk product batches.
- Perform cleaning / sanitation of tanks, mixers, pumps and utensils.
- Complete required batch documentation.
- General warehouse duties as needed.
- Material Handling & Physical Requirements
- Ability to use lifting equipment including high lift forklift (current license required).
- Must be able to lift up to 25kg repetitively through the work shift.
- Tilt and swivel drums of materials up to 200-220kg.
- Be able wear all required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, face masks and safety boots.
- Ability to conduct a range of movements freely (ie standing, stopping, sitting, crouching, climbing ladders / steps). The role is strenuous, physically demanding and requires accurate repetition, suiting individuals with a high level of physical stamina and fitness.

- Skills & Essential Experience
- Completion of Year 10 level schooling and / or relevant TAFE Certificate preferred.
- Fluent in English (reading and writing).
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions without the use of a calculator.
- Recent demonstrated experience in a product manufacturing environment, ideally in pharmaceutical / food / chemical industries.
- Attention to detail and ability to make sound quality decisions.
- Forklift licence (HRW) desirable.
- Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team.
