The Government Services Branch (GSB) delivers Whole-of-Government services to Commonwealth agencies, including developing and supporting the secure telecommunications and digital collaboration needs of the Australian Government.
The branch is responsible for providing and managing :
GovTEAMS, a comprehensive whole-of-government collaboration service for the Australian Public Service.the Intra-government Communications Network (ICON), an optical fibre network that links Commonwealth offices throughout Canberra.GovLINK, a secure inter-agency communication service that encrypts all nominated traffic between agency internet gateways; andThe Parliamentary Workflow Solution (PWS), delivering services to support the management of parliamentary workflow across government. Including the development and support for Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).ABOUT TOPPORTUNITYWe are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced test lead / automation specialist to join the Parliamentary Workflow Solution (PWS) Section to deliver the Whole-of-Government, Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS).
As the Assistant Director, Test lead / Automation Specialist you will support the Test Manager to lead a team of highly skilled manual and automation testers responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of the PDMS, while working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary section.
The role will require both leadership and automation testing experience and the core duties including :
Provide team leadership and support to a team of testers both APS staff and contractors, including mentoring junior testers.Managing workload including afterhours work.Create and provide advice on testing estimates according to test activities.Work with a dynamic team to identify and support the automation testing capability.Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and / or stakeholders.Use technical knowledge and experience to lead and support test process improvements in alignment with the PDMS strategic direction.Work with internal stakeholders and across cross functional teams to ensure successful delivery of the PDMS.DETAILED VACANCY INFORMATIONFor detailed information about this role, including the job specific capabilities, please refer to the downloadable vacancy pack, which can be accessed by clicking the hyperlink at the bottom of this page.
