About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Cleaner to maintain a clean and hygienic environment of the commercial kitchen, office, corps, bathrooms, Worship Centre and All Purpose Hall.

Reporting to the Corps Officer, this is a permanent, Part time (6 hours per week) position based in Green Point, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with Miscellaneous Award Level 2.

You will successfully- Ensure that all areas of the centre are kept clean and tidy and meet required standards within appropriate timelines.- Demonstrate initiative through independently recognising additional tasks required (in relation to cleaning activities) and undertake them in a positive and pro-active manner.- Store chemicals in accordance with guidelines, with stocks of chemicals being replenished as required.- Ensure equipment is functional and any issues being promptly reported to the Corps Officer.

You will have- A minimum of 12 months' experience in cleaning, and preferably have worked within the Community Sector.- Relevant qualification and / or experience in Hygiene and Cleaning materials and methods.- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regulation and storage of chemicals.- The demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as in a team and with minimum supervision.- The physical ability to undertake all cleaning duties.
