Global Medics is partnering with the Hunter New England Local Health District to recruit a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist / Consultant Psychiatrist in Forensic & Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services.

The role is based in Morisset, New South Wales, a thriving town nestled between the shores of Lake Macquarie and the Watagan mountains. Just 90 minutes from Sydney and 45 minutes from Newcastle, Morisset offers the perfect balance of natural beauty, relaxed living, and easy access to major centers.

Key Responsibilities for the role :

• Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist psychiatric services to patients
• Promotes patient safety and quality of care. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education, where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers
• Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the LHD
