The Workforce Development and Integrity Division plays acritical role in building capable, inclusive, and high-performingworkforce across the Department of Human Services (DHS), and byextension, supporting the delivery of safe, trusted services to theSouth Australian community. The division provides strategic andoperational workforce services internally across DHS, while alsocontributing to broader public safety and integrity through theprovision of screening services. It brings together four keydirectorates, each instrumental in strengthening our people,culture, and governance.
Role Details
DHS is seeking a dynamic and visionaryleader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Executive Director,Workforce Development and Integrity. This is a rare opportunity tolead strategic workforce transformation within one of SouthAustralia's most impactful government departments, helping toshape the future of public service delivery and sectorcapability.
In this high-impact role, theExecutive Director will provide strategic leadership across adiverse portfolio, guiding the delivery of high-quality,customer-focused workforce services that support thedepartment's operational and cultural objectives. They willoversee legal policy and screening functions that uphold safety,integrity, and public trust, while championing innovation,continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership development.
With a strong focus on collaboration,the successful candidate will influence workforce reform acrossgovernment through strategic partnerships, and represent DHS inhigh-level consultations, negotiations, and sector-wideinitiatives. As a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive andExecutive Leadership Team, they will offer expert insight intopeople strategy, workforce trends, and cultural transformation tosupport future-focused decision-making.
