• Overall Role Purpose_
• Processes, handles and distributes all required documents in the Warehouse Handling area
• Performs cargo receival arrangements
• Ensures customer requirements are met and cargo handling is completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Supervises Handling Operations in the
• Import Warehouse
• area
• Accountabilities_
• Customer, Other Stakeholder & Process
• Organizes, splits and plans day-to-day work of Warehouse team
• Supervises Handling Operations in the warehouse area (staff rostering, task allocation, customer service for internal queries of shipments during the import airfreight receival process)
• Creates / confirms cargo outturns to ensure Border Force requirements
• Performs cargo checks and balances against manifest documents
• Prepares, controls and distributes all required cargo reporting
• Checks responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents
• Follows-up shipment status, identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents
• Supports Customer Service in the incident and exception management resolution
• Maintains excellent relationships with suppliers and staffing
• Is responsible for process improvements in regard to cargo handling
• Performs IT systems related tasks to provide up to date information on shipment status and cargo location
• Skills / Qualifications_
• Extensive knowledge and previous Warehousing experience
• Knowledge of AFR Import Operations
• Good administrative skills
• Results driven and attention to details
• Self-directed and proactive working style;
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; and
• Fluent in English communication (verbal / written)
