      Are you passionate about Indigenous maternity care and ready for a rewarding and impactful challenge? If yes, we would love you to join the ATSICHS Brisbane Team.

      You will enjoy supporting a passionate and driven team of professionals in the development of this innovative evidence-based model of care. Responsible for providing transport services in our brand-new vehicle to mothers and their families to provide ongoing support for our mums in our new facility. You are passionate about our community and making a real difference, and enjoy supporting a team of passionate and inspired midwives and Family Support Workers to deliver the service.

      Birthing in Our Community (BiOC) offers a new model of maternity care that provides comprehensive and culturally informed maternal and infant health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Supports within the service include access to dedicated Family Support Workers, Case-load Midwifery care, post-natal clinics. BiOC is a holistic strengths-based approach to maternal infant health care, operating in a culturally appropriate community-based space.

      Duties

      Manage patient movement, transport, and best clinical outcomes in accordance with qualifications, scope, and authority to practice under the ATSICHS oversight framework

      Assist and follow direction for direct clinical care from senior team member

      Follow operational directions from dispatch team to ensure efficient and timely response to requests for service from key stake holders to meet KPI's

      Oversight of vehicle maintenance and cleaning schedules and processes

      Assist with the administration functions of the office including answering the phone, assisting with client administration, general administration tasks, maintaining the tidiness of the office, assisting with transporting goods and supplies, and any other ad hoc task as directed by the Program Manager

      Coordinate care with other team members to provide a thorough, holistic care model for the clients

      Maintain clean and neat appearance

      Previous experience within the disability, aged care or patient transport services is highly regarded.

      Any other adhoc tasks as directed by the Manger to assist in the highest quality service provision.

      COVID-19 Requirements

      Immunization history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine.

      Required

      Hold an unrestricted C class driver's licence and drive in a safe and reasonable manner

      Previous experience of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

      Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.

      Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening) or be eligible to apply

      Current National Police Check

      Demonstrated caring and compassionate nature will support your patients with empathy, care and dignity

      Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.

      Strong work ethic and the willingness to deliver excellent patient-centric care

      Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills

      Preferred

      Transport experience in a Primary Health Setting

      Experience in a clinic setting and an understanding of the cycle of care patient system
