Dental Assistant / Receptionist

No Gap Smiles Dental has been servicing our patients at Raymond Terrace and Kurri Kurri.

We are looking for a positive and proactive team member with a caring nature focused on providing our patients with the best care. The successful applicant can expect to work as an integral part of a close-knit dental team where positive attitude and personal growth will be encouraged.

• About the role

The role includes (but is not limited to) :

Infection control / sterilization of instruments

Following infection control protocols.

Assisting dentist chair side.

Reception duties including answering phone calls and making appointments.

Cleaning & preparing dental rooms for treatment.

Lab work including pouring models, making trays and mouthguards.

Computer skills preferred for operating core practice software and digital x-rays.

Stock management.

General cleanliness of the practice and maintenance of equipment.

Participating in and facilitating morning huddles and staff meetings.

Assisting in organizing patient referrals and treatment plans.

The successful applicant must have

Driver's license and access to a car. (Travel between locations may be necessary)

A positive, friendly & can-do attitude.

The ability to work within a team environment & unsupervised.

A strong understanding of infection control and protocols.

Skills and experience

Experience in a dental setting is desirable, but not essential. On the job training can be provided.
