About us

VCAT is part of Victoria's justice system and is a tribunal that serves the community by resolving civil disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. We hear and decide over 85,000 cases a year across Victoria.

The Residential Tenancies Division hears cases under the Residential Tenancies Act and other relevant legislation, to determine disputes between renters (tenants) and rental providers (landlords), residents and owners of caravan parks or rooming houses, renters and Homes Victoria, and about specialist disability accommodation and supported residential services.

About the role

The Registrar leads the Division and is responsible for staff and resource management as well as monitoring and evaluating the performance of the day to day operations of the Division, in order to deliver high quality, timely, accurate and efficient operational services.

The successful applicant will be responsible for driving and implementing these initiatives and establish sound procedures to deliver effective and efficient services to the community of Victoria.
