Building Cadet - Brisbane

McNab have a great opportunity for a cadet to join our Brisbane construction team. This position offers a hands-on introduction to Contract Administration, Quality Assurance, Design and Estimating including invaluable mentoring and advice from seasoned construction professionals.

The position is ideal for a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Construction Management (or something similar) student looking for the opportunity to complement studies with practical, hands-on experience.

You will be a self-starter who is safety-conscious, responsible for assisting with :

• Review of contract and preparation of sub-contractor agreements.
• Preparation of cost reports and processing of payment claims and invoices.
• Coordination of consultant meetings & taking minutes.
• Accurate and timely distribution of documents and specifications.
• Quality assurance, safety and environmental inspections.

You will need to :

• Be studying or have recently completed a construction related degree or equivalent.
• Be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
• Have excellent people and communication skills.
• Have great time management and prioritisation.
• Be interested in joining a team, not just a company.
