Position Overview

As part of the organisations strategic growth plan, a newly created BDM role has been created to play a pivotal role in expanding client reach to better support individuals living with disabilities. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, this opportunity will suit individuals who are wishing to play a pivotal leadership role, develop tangible expansion and are comfortable to work collaboratively with the internal care team who are responsible for the onboarding and care plan management aspects. Longer term potential for the right leader to take full ownership for the ACT region.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth :

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the NDIS landscape
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business growth strategies for the Canberra market
  • Work towards the acquisition of 3-4 new participants per month
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement
  • Strategic Partnerships & Networking :

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Reach out to key contacts and stakeholders in the NDIS ecosystem
  • Organise and deliver informative in-service presentations to generate leads
  • Build trust and establish lasting relationships with clients, referral partners, and colleagues
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Utilise strong relationship-building and negotiation skills to foster long-term partnerships
  • Experience & Knowledge :

  • Proven experience in business development and sales, preferably in health, disability, or community services
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Market knowledge and understanding of Canberra's NDIS landscape
  • Experience in client relationship management
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or NDIS framework understanding preferred
  • Experience in the NDIS or social services industry highly advantageous
