With 517 newly refurbished rooms, 9 conference rooms, and multiple food and beverage outlets, Mercure Sydney is on the look out for a Group Reservations Coordinator.

We are and will continue to be, ANYTHING BUT NORMAL.This role also takes ownership of the group reservations for Ibis World Square.

Matching contemporary urban style with welcoming service Ibis World Square offers 166 rooms with a great central city location, on historic Pitt Street near the Capitol Theatre, enticing public wholesale and corporate business.Job DescriptionResponsible for sales &management of all group bookings of 10 rooms or moreManagement of PCO group blocks relating to inventory, payment &group setupHandle enquiries for group bookings via email or phone, communicate immediately, and provide a reply or confirmationEnsure a prompt input of reservations and datafor all group enquiries & bookingsPreparation of group information sheets (group movements) and briefing of Hotel stakeholders prior to arrival of groupManage Hotel inventory in relation to group reservations and monitor potential wash of businessQualifications1-2 years of experience in a Front Office or Reservations roleStrongknowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office &OperaService oriented with an eye for detailAbility to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environmentSelf-motivated and energetic with a strongfocus &passion for hotel operationsConfident and articulate communication, negotiation, relationship and networking skillsAdditional InformationWhy Choose Us : Great location at Mercure Sydney – close to all forms of public transportThe Team!
