About the team
The Bassendean Memorial Library is an important community and cultural hub where people can meet and connect and enjoy a variety of programs and services. Our Library team help our community and proudly deliver programs focusing on literacy lifelong learning and recreational needs of the community.
About the role
The role will give the successful applicant an opportunity to :
- Meet the needs of the local community through the effective and efficient management and development of contemporary relevant and quality library services.
- Oversee the Library and Information Services policies programs and plans to support the educational literacy information cultural and recreational needs of the community in line with agreed service level targets and budget.
- Manage and develop the librarys digital print and local history collections using best practice and ensuring the Towns collections are relevant accessible and curated in accordance with relevant standards policies and procedures.

Salary and Benefits
This fixed term full-time position attracts an annual salary up to $102000.00 plus superannuation.
The Town also offers up to 4% additional superannuation (conditions apply) 17.5% leave loading free parking ongoing training and professional development and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
This is a fixed term full-time role 76 hours a fortnight Monday to Friday. Flexibility options such as variable start / finish times are options and may be negotiated for this role.
